do you know how to sew?
I saw a kid once dressed as a laundry basket super cute.
He had a basket cut in the middle and that was around his waist. Then there well clothes and dishwasing liquid in there.

I was wondering if there was money to be made in the stock market by buying MSFT stock if MSFT aquires Yahoo.

The deal is that you would potentially get $31 in cash or 0.9509 of a share of Microsoft common stock for each yahoo share.

"Microsoft would acquire all of the outstanding shares of Yahoo! common stock for per share consideration of $31 based on Microsoft

I have a number of questions about this area.
How far inland does the sea go at high tide?
What is the high tide surf like? Is it gentle or are there real breakers?
How much of a problem are the disused artillery shells the area is known for?
Are there any safe places to land a dinghy, especially down towards Cwm Ivy Woods?
How well is the area illuminated at night?
Is it easy to find a footpath from the bay to the woods at night?

Thank you

Good God what a lot of questions!! I live in Swansea. The Gower Peninsula is a good place for surfing – Rhosilli especially and its a really beautiful part of the country. Never heard of the disused artillery problem and dont think any part of the Gower is well-lit at night. You may be better off contacting Welsh Tourist Office and/or Coastguard. Have a nice time.x

Hey umm…RUDE much?

Why is everyone answering her so rudely? I understand she’s a spoiled little brat at the most, but can’t you just answer her question accordingly and leave it at that, without the snide remarks added in? Who do people think they are nowadays? It’s sickening.

Ok.. I completely agree with you.. the girl is just a little girl!!! There is no need to be ignorant to her. She was only asking a question. And to everybody that answered this question and said that they think it is ok that they were ruid to the little girl, here’s my advice.. GROW UP!!! I don’t care if you think she is annoying or not. It was wrong and you ALL know it!!

well one that is not rude. two… dont you remember the old days on here?? she is a proven troll. pluse not using her locker is a lie and she doesnt have a twin brother
Catholic14 | Oct 17, 2007

i guess people just get annoyed with stupid questions
marissa_rivera | Oct 17, 2007

8 out of the 21 (and I’m being generous here) could possibly be considered rude. That’s hardly ‘everyone’. The rest were just answers. Plus, it’s a stupid question – what does she expect anyone here to do about it? – and she answers other peoples’ questions rudely. She has an attitude problem. Why should others even bother being nice to an immature brat like her?

Edit: Thanks nikki :) From the amount of thumbs up you have for your answer, it looks like most agree with you!

Edit2: Dani is new here, I see…she’ll learn in time. By the way, Dani, it’s ‘rude’, not ‘ruid’.
lyndsayc1984 | Oct 17, 2007

lyndsayc, you are exactly right.

I am one of those who gave a rude response.

I found the question to be stupid, and "Emawee" answers everyone else with a rude comment.

Plus, according to her past questions, she doesn’t even give a damn about school.

It’s just the internet. It’s no big deal. However, when you have earned a reputation on Y!A as being rude and disrepectful, no one is going to answer your questions seriously, unless they don’t know you at all.
nikki_sep | Oct 17, 2007

I read it.

Rude breeds rude.

THE ASKER is rude – so she’s getting back what she puts out.

It works that way when you’re an adult too.

Not sure – but she’s probably been spoiled enough at this point.

I’m sure the people on Y! Answers are capable of giving her some good advice – but you can almost hear the whining and see the eye rolling – so I have to say – I understand people not wanting to do it.
liddabet | Oct 17, 2007

not many people were too rude to her.. and shes kind of annoying anyways.
jenni m | Oct 17, 2007

She asked us for our opinion, we’re just giving it to her.

How are we supposed to know where her locker is, or whom she should talk to about her locker or book??

It’s her own fault, and now she won’t take responsibility for the problem and fix it.
mich | Oct 17, 2007

I agree, I don’t even go for 2 points on her questions, but still why be rude?
fred_rogers | Oct 17, 2007

She answers rudeley to others.

Im no christian but in RS (Religious studies) the bible says
"Treat others as you would like to be treated your self"

I will be honest and state that I didn’t check the link for what you are referring to, but I can still answer the question regarding rudeness. Actually, the answer as I see it comes in 2 parts.
The first part of the answer is in line with what some of the other responders have already said; rude begets rude. I’m guilty of it myself, especially on topics with which I am involved.
The second part comes from the disassociated aspect of communicating through a forum like this. When talking face to face, we tend to be a bit more mindful of the rules of etiquette and behavior and are less likely to be offensive to someone’s face (although I find that to be slipping somewhat as a carryover of what I’m about to say next, which is…)
But, because we are at a distance from the person we are answering (here or any other website exchange), it is easier to unleash the sharper, nastier aspects of our tongues. We don’t see the affect our words are having and can, therefore, spout off with impunity and with no or little concern for the effect our words will have on other people. This is probably the biggest problem I have with today’s means of electronic communication (that and the way it affects our writing, grammar and spelling skills). Hope this helps.

how did i know that link was gonna lead to her. but i answered that question and it wasnt mean. ive been talking to her though IM for like a year and shes actually not as much as a brat that you think she is. she has reasons behind all the tihngs she does

What sun sign are you if you were born October 23?

I’ve read on some sites it says your a Scorpio and others that say that you are a Libra. Does it matter the year?

WHICH ONE IS IT???

Definitely a cusp. But I would lean more towards Libra.
